Hi everyone, not sure if anyone can help me as I'm new to this forum. I've got a 1998 Mk1 Frontera which has only done 67k and is in fab condition, which I'm looking to move on. I've owned it since 2007 and only used it in the summer to tow my caravan, which it does without missing a beat. It really is an excellent example, having been kept in my (100% dry) garage all the time. I was wondering if anyone collects, what is becoming a very rare car, this one is really is deserving of some sort of cherished home.

Hi Colin, and welcome to the forum. It sounds like a nice example and well cared for Frontera. Many Frontera's seemed to have had the life pulled out of them, or were poorly maintained so they ended up in the junk yards. It might be worth posting up some pictures on here in the for sale section, and either put a price, or contact details for anyone who might be interested. Regards Andy

Hi, I have a Vectra SRI Nav 58 plate with 51 thousand on the clock. When I bought her last August, she had 44 thousand. Only bought as my vectra 2.2 Direct decided that he had had enough and blew his emissions so high, we couldn't get them back down, plus the new E fuel. So now I have this baby. She was upgraded by her previous owners....fully tinted windows, blackened aspects of the grill and window surroundings, upgraded stereo and soon upgraded front lights. I have a few plans with her as she will be the main car we use. My husband has just bought an SRI Nav too but he has higher miles.

Has anyone seen (or got any more information) about the Vaux Valves event taking place at Brands Hatch on Sunday 21st August 2022 ?

Hello everyone, Yesterday I became a member and I should like to introduce myself. My name is Hans Stegeman, I live in the Netherlands where my father used to (try and) sell Vauxhalls back in the day. In a country where Opel was number one in the selling charts that wasn't a very succesful enterprize. My first car was a 1980 Vauxhall Cavalier 2000 saloon that I still own (haven't seen it for 20 or so years but I still pay rent to the person where I garaged it so I trust it's still there). After that came a Volvo 240, a Volvo 264, an MGB roadster, a Reliant Scimitar Se6b, a BMW E34 525i touring, a BMW E39 528i touring, three Mazdas MX-5 NA and recently I bought two Mk1 Rovers 827 fastback. Oh, and a 1980 Vauxhall Cavalier 2000 Sport Hatch (here it is before I acquired it: https://www.curbsideclassic.com/blog/cc-cohort/cohort-outtake-1981-vauxhall-cavalier-2000gls-sports-hatch-showing-the-capri-the-way/), now undergoing some restoration. We had one towards the end of the seventies, in orange of course, and I loved the model. Much nicer than an Opel Manta B with those horrible slots. It's this car that's the reason why I joined or more specifically a question that I'm hoping some of you will have the answer to. I'll try to attach an image (from Wikipedia / Wikimedia) that shows an after market bumper that I should like to have on my car. I haven't seen it anywhere else and don't know the producer's name. Hi Jane, I've just done a google search, and its coming up as a fault with the alarm system. Has the alarm been set off recently? Also the page i found is saying that if there is a light blinking, it's indicating what to check. If the light blinks for the first 10 seconds, it's indicating door/bonnet/boot is open, or a system fault. It also mentions about some wires behind the rear view mirror, these might have been detached from the ultra sonic sensors, also near the rear view mirror.
