  1. Cleaning out my garage i found an old "Flash Car Wash " thing. i know they are discontinued now but the filtered final wash did produce a decent finish and presumably the filter was a De ionisng filter. Im just wondering if anyone has tried to use a De ionisd filter in a home made system. you can get a filter on line for about £10, its not rocket science to hook up a hose pipe to it. Id be interested in any ideas. Cheers pete

  3. Good afternoon everyone. My first time on any car forum so apologies if this is not deemed the right way forward. I currently have a 2003 Astra Bertone Coupe (2.2, 152,000miles). I am looking to replace it (current commute car, however I do shift so my commute is a couple of times a week), however I do not have the drive space or garage space to have it SORN and to be a small labour of love so to speak so unfortunately it needs to go. It has not got any faults but has as you could imagine some age related blemishes such as rust on rear wheel arch, all wheels needing to be redone, one wing mirror particularly needing respraying (paint worn on top side), usual small stone chips on bonnet etc. I would like it to go to someone I imagine would be an enthusiast such as fellow members on here rather than it be flogged to the likes of webuyanycar and the like. Having said that, a lot of areas are still in great condition and look superb when fresh after a clean and wax, the rear interior looks entirely untouched too. Has anyone got any suggestions the best way forward for this/best site or even somone that may be interested. These cars seem to be quite rare these days especially with the Irmscher grille and rear spoiler and bonnet hosting the 2.2. Thankyou, Jonno.

  4. I did the front part from cat to centre about 6 months ago, as flexi blew out. So now it'll be from there to the back, as it's the joint on both bits blowing. And yes they are reasonably priced.
