  1. I had an issue with 2016 my Astra J CD400 and stearing wheel controlls being unresponsive but still the radio was playing sound and even accepting a cd and then playing but all other button were unresponsive and I couldn't even turn the radio off. After checking on line I found out that it could be a securty comunication glitch, and it recommended disconnecting the battery. As I didn't have the right tools available at that time, I tried removing the infotainment fuse No 5 in the glove compartment fuse box. I left it over night and then refitted the next morning. T Thankfully this seems to have done the trick.

  2. Hi This is a long shot, but I’m trying to find a car I once owned from new. The registration was M69 WWR and was a white MK3 Astra GSI 16V. The unique part of this car, was it was a red top engine and not a scorecard, as it was an unwanted prize from Barclays Bank. It was also highly modified (visually) and I sold it to a performer car company in 1996/7 somewhere in Yorkshire. Does anyone know its location or any information on it? I would love to get it back from a sentimental point of view. any help much appreciated

  4. Is it under warranty because grandland x was recalled due to engine/oil fault. I would raise it. last year something similar happened to me and the engine needed to be stripped and Vauxhall paid the bill. Escalate to customer services

  5. Well I have finally managed to get to work on my own car, now daughters is sorted. Update on the broken spring, is that it's not broke. The shock on the other hand has died. Hence why the spring was so squished down. So new shocks on order, and as I already have new springs and bearings, the whole front end will get a well deserved overhaul. Checking on records of car history, there is no record of any work being done to suspension legs. So I'm guessing there all original. Which isn't bad for 229,800 miles. On looking at wish bones, they are a bit floppy, so I see these being replaced too. At least the sun's out.
