  1. hi everybody, what a terrible day for a car meet, consequently quite a few cars never turned up, only the hardy or nutters. still there was some good stuff there with my tickford being easily the oldest and well received. hope the next meeting is a little more weather friendly, i'm not sure where that may be. best regards from a wind blown and wet keith

  2. Hello there. The car started misfiring. I took it to my mechanic whe said it a cracked plug due to overheating. He repaired it and it was fine for a day. Unfortunately I had to take her back to the mechanic. He advised that part of the old plug had dropped in the engine and done some damage. There is a little rust over the rear offside wheel arch. The height adjustment on the drivers seat needs some attention. Due to the age we have decided to let it go. It is too good to go to the scrappers so I am hoping an enthusiast will enjoy the challenge to get her running again.

  3. You are correct in most of the procedure but I would put the cap on before the temperature rises too high. Once if has had chance to settle down then release the cap when safe to do so (gradually to allow pressure to release and keep clear of the boiling water). The level will then drop slightly. Refill to the level and do the same until the level no longer drops. Always ensure the cap is tight and never release when hot and with too much pressure behind it.
