  1. I hope no one minds me intruding (I’m a member of the Ford classic Consul/Zephyr/Zodiac club!) but I can see from my house a Victor from about 1963 or 64 which was under cover for at least 35 years but is now standing out with a For Sale notice on it. It doesn’t look perfect by any means but I’m sure somebody could have a go at making it as good as new and it’s a shame, now that it’s outside, for it to just fall to bits. It’s in Ponteland, Northumberland. I don’t have any further details, though I’m sure I can get them if anyone needs them, and I’m not sure that I can post a photo with me only being a visitor on the forum. If you need details try an email - captaingjohnson@gmail.com Let’s hope someone can give it a home.

  2. Thank you mate. I must admit that I am going to leave well alone, if its not broke, don't fix. I have re-connected the sensor, and unless I get a problem with it, I'm leaving it well alone too. Just need to do a complete coolant flush now, as it seems a bit cruddy. Have fresh anti-freeze at the ready.

  4. Hi everyone I have ordered a new 2024 facelift corsa and should be collecting any week now before Christmas and need a bit of help. I saw on sone other owner forums that people had issues with thier 23-24 plate facelift Corsa and Astras missing the ultimate badging and sills. It does state in Corsa brochure 130bp models only which is the model I ordered so I should have them. Has anyone else had the same issue as I don't know what they even look like so I cant see what I'm looking for if I need to ask the dealers if they are missing when I collect it. I can't even see anything on the review videos of 130bp model I have watched so will I actually get some kind of limited addition badging as the 130bp engine option isn't on their latest brochure stating effective Dec 3rd 24-25 only the 100bp options!? Does this also mean they have stopped to manufacture the 130np petrol engine option and therefore will be a rare car if this is the case? Plz help Regards Aaron

  5. Bit late in replying, but if you are still after a replacement auto gear shift lever then contact a Jocko Murchie on Facebook. I know that he has one available and that quality will be good and he can be trusted as I have bought stuff from him before.

  6. Just to write a conclusion to this. It was apparent to me, if not the local Vx dealer, that the thermostat had failed in the open position, this was confirmed by a local garage recommended to me. He replaced the thermostat and housing unit at a cost of about £340 of which the thermostat was £135 (( a complex bit of kit) and coolant about £20 plus a couple of hours labour and I was well pleased. Coolant temperature back to a steady 90deg and decent heating. Why these modern engines are so complicated beats me, on my 40 year old Porsche a replacement thermostat is about £15 and it's about an hours work for me to replace it. The price of progress!!! I
