  1. I would take the seat out to repair as will be a lot easier to work on removed from the car
  2. That is an odd one and doesn't sounds like any standard automotive warning bleeper I would try to isolate the noise from under the dash and see where it leads Could be an aftermarket device (reverse sensor, tracker, etc)
  3. Oh dear but at least you did have an audible warning of the spring breaking and it didn't penetrate the tyre sidewall on its way out Should be a straightforward job and at least you have the nice weather to do it in See, I always bring positivity to your posts
  4. Mainly discs and pads are listed as wear and tear items so probably won't honour the replacement
  5. I'm not sure it will fit the space of the old one but if it does then wire up as you would any other stereo head unit Start with the power wires and if you don't blow any fuses and it powers up the work out the speakers from there
  6. Hi briang ....welcome to the Club Fine car to own and hopefully will behave itself for you during your ownership
  7. Its certainly worth asking the question but generally front discs and pads do wear more heavily than the rear ones. Not sure what the terrain is that you most often drive (e.g. motorways is fewer braking, but heavier when doing so - town driving lots of braking but mostly light, etc)
  8. Have you tried replacing the coolant pressure cap as this can cause the issue if it is failing to hold the pressure
  9. Best to get it properly evacuated at a garage to save the environment and they can even reuse it to refill your A/C once you have carried out the work on it
  10. Best to plug in a scanner to see what the issues are in the engine management before going any further
  11. Start with the battery and work your way through the system Sounds much like this is the issue. If you can jump start it then drive to Halfords and they can test it and replace if necessary
  12. These guys do repairs on your cluster and if you get another panel you may need to recode it to the car so maybe best option to repair? https://www.autotronics.co.uk/product/vauxhall-meriva-b-2010-2014-instrument-cluster-repair
  13. Let us know how you get on with this
  14. Hi billyboy ...welcome to the Club Good to have you onboard!
  15. Hi....welcome to the Club Unfortunately, we don't have anything planned for this year Great project car, keep us updated with the progress
  16. Hi Keith.....welcome to the club Two Corsas...now thats just greedy
  17. I imagine once the unit is coded to the car so that it functions then it would also need an aerial to receive the signal Possibly you could mirror link a phone sat nav function to the existing unit and run Waze or TomTom, would be a better and cheaper option with no expensive update discs or cards required
  18. Not sure but possibly may look similar to this
  19. That sounds like the turbo variable vanes are sticking with carbon If the EGR was clogged up then chances are the turbo is also You can use a Turbo Cleaner solution to clear it through and go from there
  20. I would look at the earth to the pump when it is fitted to the vehicle and if not good then fit a substitute earth lead to see if that improves the voltage readings
  21. Let us know how you get on and what the fault is
  22. I would try a 'dry run' if you can access some new wheels and tyres by fitting them front and rear on one side to see if they catch anything and also turn lock-to-lock without fouling the arches or liners.
  23. I wonder if there was a short-circuit when the holder broke? In which case fuses would be my first port of call However, worth checking the obvious such as blown bulb and also any earth points that may be corroded or loose
  24. Crikey thats an unusual one! I would start at the battery terminals and work you way to the fusebox and look at fuses and relays as there must be a fault with the power distribution circuit Start with the bigger cables (and connectors) and work your way through the smaller ones if not immediately obvious. Don't forget to check earth cables and connection points
  25. Sounds possible with the semiconductor worldwide shortage and some options were dropped to continue selling vehicles that weren't fully loaded but generally fit for purpose. I wonder if it is possible to retrofit them if Vauxhall do a kit with components and simply plug and play, worth asking them in case this is an option now
