  1. Let us know how you get on with it But I would be tempted to go to Protyre or Tyreland as they have the correct equipment and training to carry out the checks
  2. I would firstly check the correct type of bulbs are fitted as an incorrect one can 'backfeed' the lighting system Check one side and compare with the other side as should have the same bulbs
  3. It sounds like an alignment problem Would be worth driving it to an Alignment centre (ProTyre for example) and get them to check the measurements to see if this is the issue
  4. Wait to hear the outcome, hopefully it won't be too long and drive you insane
  5. It might be worth listing it in the For Sale section of this forum
  6. By swapping the sensors around and the same one still comes up with the fault suggests its not the sensor that is faulty, I would be tempted to look at the connector and wiring for that sensor (vehicle side not sensor side connectors)
  7. Had a similar issue with an Alfa Romeo that used to make similar noises usually in the dry rather than when it had been raining. I used to spray Silicon spray liberally over the rubber bushes and the noise would disappear for quite a while, but always returned
  8. Most clutch plates can handle a stage 1 tune but when power is loaded onto it then the cover/pressure plate sometimes does not clamp sufficiently to deliver the load
  9. It would be a temperature sensed fan running as it needs to in order to maintain a constant operating temperature at all times
  10. Moved post to For Sale section to promote response
  11. Not sure about the compatibility of the locks but it may at least be a short term measure to avoid the door flying open? Maybe also you could strip down both parts and make a good one out of the two?
  12. you should be able to replace the lead but you may also be able to source an adapter possibly?
  13. Thanks for the very detailed guide to fitting the tow bar electrics. You seem to have done it very methodically and very neat installation.
  14. Please let us know as it would be good to find out for future reference if it is an issue with sump gaskets on this model or a defective oil filter brand
  15. can you swap the sensors (e.g. the lead connections) so that the fault if present with the sensor is switched to number 1 and this will confirm a fault
  16. I would recommend anything that is manufactured in UK or Europe, obviously avoid the cheap options as they are cheap for a reason. I guess you could source the parts yourself and get the garage to fit the new ones, especially if they have failed in less than a year they would fit it cheaper for you
  17. Sorry to hear that but I guess it is a fault you could live with and the car may give you many years of reliable service so you can recoup some of the money back on it
  18. You can get aftermarket sounds deadening but ensure it is fireproof and not capable of sagging onto the engine. Wind deflectors are the best way forward and will definitely improve the wind noise
  19. from memory the fuel pump is actuated by the system relay which I think is the one in the photo. it needs a crankshaft signal which if not present (e.g. crank sensor faulty) then it won't run the system relay
  20. I wouldn't have thought the 2009 model has bluetooth but you could get an after-market audio system with bluetooth
  21. Slight perforation in the oil filter spraying a fine mist onto the engine block. Also, it could be a poor gasket on the sump
  22. It may be worthwhile getting a stainless steel system custom made (around £250) and will last the life of the car.
  23. Sounds like the light switch on the steering column has gone faulty
  24. Common Rail fuel pressure sensor is on the end of the fuel injector rail. Turbo boost pressure sensor is usually on the output hose/pipe from the turbo
  25. I agree with AndyR and if it was me I would introduce a hosepipe into the filler but start with low pressure to see if you can build up enough liquid to raise the blockage to the top. If not, then it would be a case of removing the bottle and investigating further
