  1. Has the screen suffered any damage or drink split over it?
  2. I would imagine there would be loads in the scrapyard and also from other models that may fit. In the past I have had to resort to replacing other plastic engine parts sourced from scrapyards as none available from the dealer
  3. Thanks for letting us know the outcome Worth getting a replacement in case the only other one goes faulty in the future
  4. I would run a scan to see if there are any fault codes present in the ECU memory. Quite possible it could be a faulty crankshaft sensor which needs to see the crank rotating to initiate the fuel system, pump, etc
  5. I would imagine it is the coolant temperature sensor at fault. This time of year it is quite common for sensors to go faulty with the extreme cold temperatures. May not flag a fault as it might just come under the 'out of range' category Run a scan of the engine management system and check live data to see what the sensor is reading
  6. I would be tempted to scan the fuel system electronics and see what the live data comes up with, could be a fuel pressure sensor issue or air being drawn into the fuel system (slight leak in the filter housing area, etc)
  7. I would get the system scanned to determine if there are any fault codes present Also, maybe worth trying another key (if you have one) to see if there is an issue with it being recognised by the immobliser system
  8. Could be a traction control issue and putting the engine management into restricted performance mode. Alternatively, it could be engine management disabling the traction control system. Either way it would need to be scanned for fault codes to determine the exact reason for the warning lamps
  9. There is plenty of information on the DVLA website to advise on the way forward with registering a foreign vehicle. Original documentation should prove year of manufacture. MOT test and any revisions to the lighting system beam direction and colour of bulbs, etc then its good to re-register in the UK
  10. I would see what difference the fuse removal makes and if it doesn't drain over a couple of days then you have isolated the source. Check all of the wiring in the heater fan circuit to see if damaged. Remove the fan motor to test it and see if there is any issues there with high resistance and replace if necessary to assess if this has resolved the issue.
  11. Merry Christmas to the members of the Vauxhall Owners Club Enjoy the festive break and see you back here in 2025
  12. sounds like the air conditioning is coming on and the revs will go up to compensate for the drag on the engine from the Air Con compressor
  13. Any update on this situation yet? Surprised that they will not honour a warranty issue as you bought it through a Vauxhall dealership so they are liable in my opinion.
  14. Have you managed to discover the cause of this issue yet? Wondering if it is battery strength being low on start up and invoking the alarm or relays to become active and when AC kicks in the that is more drain on the battery?
  15. Just had a look around online and cannot find anything with that engine spec I'm sure it must be used on other engine ranges but varying part numbers suggest they are all different in some way
  16. I have had issues with the motors before as they are cheaply (and badly) manufactured in China and kept packing up Have replaced resistor packs as well and the is a wiring modification for a new plug so not sure if this may be a cause?
  17. Thanks for providing us with feedback and helpful for any members who are in the same situation. Cannot believe the dealers didn't pick up on this, but always good to know a decent independent garage who can solve issues like this
  18. may be cheap resistor pack and maybe try one from a different supplier? If it was a high resistance in the wiring then it would pop the fuse or burn the wiring
  19. Sounds like it could be the fuse is slightly loose in the fusebox but more likely wiring issue. The wipers sounds like the linkage has detached itself and would need to remove the arms and plastic panel to access the linkage to reattach or replace it More than likely is the window switch or wiring to the door that is the issue
  20. Thanks for sharing with us and hopefully it can find a good home shortly. If you could share some more details such as a contact number and a photo then it may attract more views.
  21. Antifreeze change is definitely worth doing this time of year and reminds me I must soon get round to changing on my own cars (and bike)
  22. Glad you managed to sort the running issue Andy As for the sensor I would leave it alone if its running fine and just reconnect the plug. The other component, I'm not exactly sure what it is but more than likely emissions related. Again, if the vehicle is running fine then I would be more tempted to leave it be
  23. You may possibly find it behind the nearside front wheelarch liner look for corrosion as it is in a vunerable location for salt and debris from the roads
  24. quite possibly the wrong bulb has been fitted somewhere and it is back-feeding the lighting system
  25. wiggle the wiring (located in rubber trunking) from the A post (windscreen pillar) to the front of the door while holding the switch in position. If it works then its more than likely a broken wire....as the door articulates back and forth the wires can sometimes break
