Touchscreen beeping
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Cligong25's topic in Vauxhall Viva, Adam & Agila Club
Has the screen suffered any damage or drink split over it? -
I would imagine there would be loads in the scrapyard and also from other models that may fit. In the past I have had to resort to replacing other plastic engine parts sourced from scrapyards as none available from the dealer

Thanks for letting us know the outcome Worth getting a replacement in case the only other one goes faulty in the future

Zafira 1.8 petrol no fuel to injectors
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to joms4's topic in Vauxhall Zafira Club
I would run a scan to see if there are any fault codes present in the ECU memory. Quite possible it could be a faulty crankshaft sensor which needs to see the crank rotating to initiate the fuel system, pump, etc -
Overheating warning alarm
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to nigelsweet's topic in New Members Introductions
I would imagine it is the coolant temperature sensor at fault. This time of year it is quite common for sensors to go faulty with the extreme cold temperatures. May not flag a fault as it might just come under the 'out of range' category Run a scan of the engine management system and check live data to see what the sensor is reading -
2012 insignia 2.0 diesel low fuel pressure.
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to stevewidds's topic in Vauxhall Insignia Club
I would be tempted to scan the fuel system electronics and see what the live data comes up with, could be a fuel pressure sensor issue or air being drawn into the fuel system (slight leak in the filter housing area, etc) -
I would get the system scanned to determine if there are any fault codes present Also, maybe worth trying another key (if you have one) to see if there is an issue with it being recognised by the immobliser system
-
Could be a traction control issue and putting the engine management into restricted performance mode. Alternatively, it could be engine management disabling the traction control system. Either way it would need to be scanned for fault codes to determine the exact reason for the warning lamps

There is plenty of information on the DVLA website to advise on the way forward with registering a foreign vehicle. Original documentation should prove year of manufacture. MOT test and any revisions to the lighting system beam direction and colour of bulbs, etc then its good to re-register in the UK

Battery drain Meriva 2010
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Chris Hill's topic in Vauxhall Meriva Club
I would see what difference the fuse removal makes and if it doesn't drain over a couple of days then you have isolated the source. Check all of the wiring in the heater fan circuit to see if damaged. Remove the fan motor to test it and see if there is any issues there with high resistance and replace if necessary to assess if this has resolved the issue. -

Mokka x 1.6 diesel december 2017
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Nats's topic in Vauxhall Mokka Club
sounds like the air conditioning is coming on and the revs will go up to compensate for the drag on the engine from the Air Con compressor -
Wet Belt Concern
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Gil's topic in Vauxhall Crossland & Grandland X Club
Any update on this situation yet? Surprised that they will not honour a warranty issue as you bought it through a Vauxhall dealership so they are liable in my opinion. -
Looking for a fuel pressure sensor .
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Rachael 66's topic in 2004 to 2009 Astra
Just had a look around online and cannot find anything with that engine spec I'm sure it must be used on other engine ranges but varying part numbers suggest they are all different in some way -
Resistor for fan keeps blowing
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to RORYC1195's topic in 2006 Onwards Corsa
I have had issues with the motors before as they are cheaply (and badly) manufactured in China and kept packing up Have replaced resistor packs as well and the is a wiring modification for a new plug so not sure if this may be a cause? -
Crossland coolant themostat failure?
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to scm924s's topic in Vauxhall Crossland & Grandland X Club
Thanks for providing us with feedback and helpful for any members who are in the same situation. Cannot believe the dealers didn't pick up on this, but always good to know a decent independent garage who can solve issues like this -
Resistor for fan keeps blowing
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to RORYC1195's topic in 2006 Onwards Corsa
may be cheap resistor pack and maybe try one from a different supplier? If it was a high resistance in the wiring then it would pop the fuse or burn the wiring -
Intermittent ciggy lighter/wipers
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Gizmo26's topic in 2005 to 2009 Vectra
Sounds like it could be the fuse is slightly loose in the fusebox but more likely wiring issue. The wipers sounds like the linkage has detached itself and would need to remove the arms and plastic panel to access the linkage to reattach or replace it More than likely is the window switch or wiring to the door that is the issue -
Thanks for sharing with us and hopefully it can find a good home shortly. If you could share some more details such as a contact number and a photo then it may attract more views.

Antifreeze change is definitely worth doing this time of year and reminds me I must soon get round to changing on my own cars (and bike)
-
Glad you managed to sort the running issue Andy As for the sensor I would leave it alone if its running fine and just reconnect the plug. The other component, I'm not exactly sure what it is but more than likely emissions related. Again, if the vehicle is running fine then I would be more tempted to leave it be

You may possibly find it behind the nearside front wheelarch liner look for corrosion as it is in a vunerable location for salt and debris from the roads

Pasenger front electric window don't work
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to bobby's topic in Vauxhall Meriva Club
wiggle the wiring (located in rubber trunking) from the A post (windscreen pillar) to the front of the door while holding the switch in position. If it works then its more than likely a broken wire....as the door articulates back and forth the wires can sometimes break
