This sounds like the exhaust has a slight leak which is causing the ticking sound on tickover (split has increased in size with temperature increase) Typically this split could be located in the exhaust manifold or otherwise it could be a joint/gasket located in the exhaust near the front end. Have someone firmly place a rag over the rear tailpipe and lay down beside the car with the engine running (in a well ventilated area of course) and listen out for a 'hissing' noise and thats where the exhaust gas leak will be located.

I have used dashcams that have Wifi built in and this has affected radio and satnav reception as it causes interference. If your dash cam has Wifi capability then switch that function off and see if it has an effect

How about a Cascada.....great looking car

There are a few kits out there ...... here is a link to a selection: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=vauxhall+astra+diesel+single+mass+flywheel&selvel=Car Make%3AVauxhall%2CModel%3AAstra%2CCars Year%3A2007%2CVariant%3ADiesel%20Hatchback%2CCars Type%3A1.9%20CDTI%2016V%2CBodyStyle%3AFWD%20Mk%20V%20(H)%20A04%2CT92%2CT98%2CPlat_Gen%3AMK%20V%20(H)%2CEngine%3A1910cc%2088KW%20120HP%20Z%2019%20DTJ&selcontext=productType%3ACAR_AND_TRUCK%2CpartType%3APARTS%2CqueryType%3ABY_VEHICLE

certainly worth trying as this could affect the flow balance in the EGR
-
I just had to look it up as have never heard of Britoil It does worry me that the likes of AliBaba and Amazon list it on their site which is usually reserved for cheap or counterfeit products I personally would not use it if I cared for my car and then go to the next cheapest brand that is a reputable make

I wonder if it could be the other fault.....emissions error? This could be caused by a small air leak that may be drawing through a gasket or somewhere that has been disturbed when fitting parts. Check all rubber hoses in the engine bay for splits, perishing and security

Sounds like historic fault codes and now they have cleared should be resolved

Hi Bex.....welcome to the Club Generally, most dealerships should periodically give deals on servicing, worth enquiring with your local dealer and see if there is anything being offered.
-
The air should eventually rise to the highest point which could be the coolant expansion tank. If it continues to draw air into the system then replace the coolant pressure cap which may be below par
-
Hi....welcome to the Club 88 degrees Centigrade is the normal opening temperature for the thermostat Anything up and around that figure for an engine operating temperature is fine. If it is a lower coolant pipe then that is also fine as it is circulating in cold air and lower part of radiator. If the hose feels soft (e.g not slightly compressed with coolant) within it the maybe you have air trapped in the system

There is a special reset for the oil quality (once topped up) and maybe it wasn't reset at last oil change. Look up Oil Quality reset procedure on YouTube and go from there
-
Sounds like someone has changed the wheels for a wider combination. Maybe better to fit them to the rear? But if the work fine (e.g. good handling) then maybe best to leave them on there. Otherwise, next tyre change you can revert back to 215 size (maybe cheaper as well)

2020 Crossland X LED Headlamps
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Les Podraza's topic in Vauxhall Crossland & Grandland X Club
I wonder if it is an alignment issue with the lamps? They should put out a great deal of light but if the sensors on the windscreen are not calibrated correctly then they could be 'dipping' or even adapting to some other situation which could show the lights in the incorrect position on the road. I would ask for an ADAS calibration check by the dealers -
Hi Andy Have you pulled out any fault codes from the ECU? I wonder if there could be another fault that is showing as EGR but is being caused by another issue
-
Hi jimlowe ...... welcome to the Club Glad you are happy with your Vauxhall, they can be great cars if maintained correctly. Good to have you onboard!
-
It sounds like the fuel cap is no longer venting. Perhaps the wrong one is fitted or the vapour vent/recirculating system is blocked. Has any new parts been fitted since before this issue started?

Flat spot on RPMs and no power
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Alan Tabor's topic in Vauxhall Owners Lounge
Hi....welcome to the Club I would look for an air leak especially around the intake trunking area. Additionally, look at other serviceable items which may need replacing. In my distant memory there was an issue with the Single Point Injection system and a similar fault but seem to recall it was unregulated air but worth doing a google search on the injection system faults from that era -

Modifying the 20se 8v 2 litre engine
Vauxhall Owners Club replied to Ben Floyd's topic in Carlton Club
I don't think you'll get too much increase on the 2.0 litre as it was quite a lazy engine and not a high revving lump. I would look at exhaust intake and ignition to try to improve engine response
