  1. Oh not sure then, maybe someone knows where the filter is located?
  2. Great news Andy, probably get more performance and better economy as this would have affected the Lambda sensor to result in overfuelling the engine
  3. Hi....welcome to the Forum I have encountered a similar situation before and from memory I reset the audio system by disconnecting the power at the fuse to it to clear down any stored memory. Wouldn't recommend it if you don't have a security code though
  4. lol...could be right Andy Yeh its not bad down here I suppose
  5. Great choice of films....big Tarantino and Guy Richie fan also
  6. We're protected by the Isle of Wight so we have a micro-climate and although it would be great to say we get all-year round sunshine, we actually don't but it is always a lot warmer here hence no snow
  7. The problem would be with coding it into the car unless it is blank code?
  8. Is there power going to the unit (does it light up at all)?
  9. Number plate LED lamps are easy enough to replace just the bulb for an aftermarket one from Halfords Indicators can be more problematic as they need to have resistors fitted to ensure the flash rate is correct
  10. If is occurs at a specific temperature then I would advise changing the Coolant Temperature Sensor as this would cause similar issues at a specific temperature. Not too expensive to replace and should be an easy enough job to do
  11. Just started a new season of Sons of Anarchy and thoroughly enjoying the storyline
  12. we haven't had a decent snow storm here since the 1980's in Bournemouth
  13. Glad to hear the car is driving fine now Andy The filter is in the box under the sump, remove that and fit a new gasket at the same time. I would run it for a while to flush through any crud and then drain it down and remove the filter and fresh fluid once more
  14. It may be coming through the rear light unit as there is a gasket behind it that shrinks over time. Worth taking out and sealing with silicon and then refitting to see if that makes a difference
  15. I guess the best place to look is Wikipedia as they have reliable information on the models Also, How Many Left. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/ lets you know the volumes produced of a certain model and how many are left on the road
  16. Hi.....welcome to the Forum Here is a link to Castrol's website which shows the oil specs you need not only for the engine but also gear oils are listed in the side column https://applications.castrol.com/oilselector/en_gb/c/search
  17. Hi Dave ..... welcome to the Forum Good to have you onboard!
  18. It's probably leaking from the base of the windscreen. Best diagnostic method is to use a smoke generator which if placed in the footwell will show where smoke is leaking through
  19. Great result Andy.....you may need to check the transmission fluid level with the engine running and in gear (cycle through the gears first) and obviously with the handbrake on and the wheels chocked. The level should then be between the marks if not top up. p.s. you may have already done this but thought i would mention it just in case
  20. Damn that snow Not much down here at all (Bournemouth) Have you got gaskets with it as well Andy?
  21. Hi....welcome to the Forum Usually there is a build spec sheet in with the service book and pack. If not there, then possibly contact the dealers and they be able to print out a spec sheet for your car
  22. Another winner! always something simple like that and lovely when it resolves an annoying fault at zero cost
  23. Wow! that certainly looks grubby oil and not like the cherry red fluid that replaces it. Job well done Andy....waited a long time for this
  24. there's always wheeler dealers to give you enthusiasm to do the job
