  1. Hi....welcome to the Forum Probably the best option would be something like Osram or Phillips performance bulbs that advertise putting out something like 30% more light and brighter colour (e.g. white or blue tint) to cut through the dark. Halfords sell them and will fit them at a small cost
  2. Hi....welcome to the forum can only suggest looking on ebay for trim clips and see if any match up to the ones you have. lots of other manufacturers would use similar clips probably sourced from same source
  3. Hi Thomas....welcome to the Forum Feel free to post up some pics of the Nova if you would like to Good to have you onboard
  4. Hi....welcome to the Forum If you are referring to the undertray then it should be okay to drive as it only benefits vehicle aerodynamics and also eliminates oil leaks from contaminating the road.
  5. Hi Susan....welcome to the Forum It is a feature that can be switched on and off and also has to take into account other factors such as battery condition so if the vehicle hasn't been used as it should (owing to Covid lockdown) then this may be the reason why. However, if you contact your dealer then they may be able to sort this very easily for you (switching it on).
  6. Hi Iceman29 ..... welcome to the Forum I think you'll find that the reliability of the 1.7cdti engine was perfectly adequate for the era and most are still carrying out with huge miles behind them. However, the 2.0cdti is not suppose to be as reliable, unless any other members can dispel this rumour? Worth digging a bit deeper to establish what issues may lay ahead
  7. Hi Kenneth....welcome to the Forum They were superb cars back then but did suffer from the tin-worm slightly. Had a PA Cresta, couple of Carltons and an Omega....all superb cars and could compete with most other brands back then. Good to have you onboard
  8. How did you get on with the oil change and hope the back is better now. At least you have swapped the rain for the cold
  9. Hi Doug....welcome to the Forum Feel free to post up some pics of the Insignia if you wish Good to have you onboard
  10. Hi Pete.....welcome to the forum Fine looking Astra, by far the best shape they have built to date in my mind Good to have you onboard
  11. Some people come up with all excuses Seriously, hope your back gets better soon and that we have a few more nice days this month.
  12. All good here thanks Andy...although I share your sentiment about working outside in the rain I suppose it could be a celebratory beer for you a celebratory oil change for the Astra then
  13. Great news Andy! That's just the result you need.....all that work on the Astra paid off then. Enjoy the beer
  14. Hi Artur.....welcome to the Forum any questions, ask away
  15. Hi Craig....welcome to the Forum Van conversions are definitely the in thing at the mo and there are plenty of modifications available for the Vivaro Keep us update on how its going
  16. Hi Kelvin....welcome to the Forum I would probably go for any top end model and with the petrol engine if possible...plenty to choose from out there at the mo
  17. Hi...welcome to the Forum I would try eBay as most parts are fine...just avoid buying cheap chinese parts as this is a false economy and can be dangerous in use if part fails
  18. Hi.....not sure about the switches For safety reasons I can see why they would illuminate to show a way of escape in the dark if the doors could not open (possibly) but should power down once the ignition is switched off I would think?
  19. Hi...welcome to the forum Unfortunately, its not the busiest forum lately and also it relies on someone knowing the information you need. Sorry, not sure of the correct answer but never trust non OE copies myself, had a similar issue with Honda SatNav a few years ago...went OE and it worked fine
  20. Hi....welcome to the Forum Most reputable Motor Factors such as Jayar, Euro Car Parts, etc should be able to provide the parts you need. Go for a branded make of bearings (cost will determine quality usually). Better take measurements of journals to ensure standard and not reground in the past. Hope it goes well and keep updated with the build, would be interested in seeing it develop
  21. Hi....welcome to the Forum I always used to fit QH parts by choice but not sure of their provenance now (e.g. cheaply produced in China). Found Gates (a previously reliable source for quality parts) is now producing their auxiliary belts in China and they are dreadful, squealing and going loose regularly.....never going to fit Gates in the future now Let us know how you get on with them if you go that route
  22. Hi....welcome to the Forum Sounds like the turbo pressure is backfeeding through the throttle body. Not sure what could be causing that though, quite possible a modification or modified part to eliminate this occurring. Let us know if you find anything else about this.
  23. Hi Andy, all good here, thanks! If you have ABS you should get a lamp showing on the dashboard If nothing showing then more than likely not equipped with it. Alternatively, it may be remotely mounted near the master cylinder area and bolted to the chassis leg. Would be interested in seeing the old fluid Cheers. Trevor
  24. Hi....welcome to the Forum First thoughts are it is related to the battery voltage (or lack of it) It sounds like the BCM needs resetting as the battery voltage will still be storing memory of the low voltage until it is reprogrammed to accept the new voltage from the replacement battery....but I'm sure the Vauxhall dealership would know that Keep us updated on what you find out
