  1. An airbag light should extinguish once the repair has been carried out as it looks at the system resistances each time the ignition is cycled. You should be able to get away with the clock spring if it physically fits as the resistance should be within similar spec to the original one
  2. Great collection of cars and some I haven't seen in years like the Metropolitan I guess the weather had to break eventually as you'd had a good run up to now
  3. Hi....welcome to the Club Fine looking Astra and great colour! Good to have you onboard
  4. Feel free to post an advert (at no cost) in the For Sale section of this forum

  8. Hi...welcome to the Club Hope you're still enjoying the Insignia
  9. Hi...welcome to the Club It would not only require the hardware (wheel, switches, etc) but also need coding into the Body Control Module (BCM) for it to operate and that would require dealer level diagnostic equipment to carry this out
  10. Hi....welcome to the Club Quite a collection of nice Vauxhalls in the past Any questions, fire away and hopefully someone may know the answers
  11. A proper traditional British steam fair event - and a day of perfect weather by the look of it
  12. defintitely sound like battery needs replacing. If you can restart it the light should go out then it is the battery
  13. Sounds like its getting blocked and needs high engine revs (for a period of time - maybe thrash up motorway in a lower gear until it runs clear)
  14. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/
  15. vacuum leak, sticking throttle, many reasons it could be....needs scanning to get a more accurate diagnosis
  16. some lovely models which I can't remember the last time I would have seen one of the on the road
  17. another array of fine machines, especially love the pick up trucks! I remember having a Ford Popular, same as the Anglia in the last photo which had vacuum wipers and if you accelerated or went up a hill they virtually stopped but down the other side they then went so fast the blades almost fell off
  18. what a lovely collection of fine machines....luckily it looks like you had nice weather which is a bonus
  19. Post it on here if you wish?
  20. The trouble is its so hard to tell what the weather is going to be in the UK so therefore choosing temperature related oil weights is a pure guessing game. Hotter countries used to change between 'weights' (viscosity) from summer to winter and vice versa. Nowadays the oil weight is structed to be variable between temperature ranges More importantly than anything is the suitability (ACEA, SAE ratings, etc) which are crucial to engine wear and protection. Ensure it is correct and weight is not as important
  21. Any suitable shampoos from Halfords would do and the staff are usually quite knowledgable about the various ones
  22. Hi Its hard to tell the modifications which have been made and only by putting it on a dyno to test run it and provide power output readings will give you the answer You are welcome to advertise it through the For Sale section of the forums if you want to
  23. if the fan is working on the highest speed then it is a faulty resistor pack which alters the fan speed If not working at all then more than likely the motor....try thumping it from under the dash when the blower is switched on and if working then brushes are worn out and need new motor...cheap and relatively easy to fit
