Thanks for the updates.The garage have replaced the turbo, but worried they found plastic in the sump, they think it's from the timechain??.,I have been told its quite expensive to replace, so do I get ready for a hefty bill?? .So looking at the feedback, from you guys,the timechain, has reached that replacement time..I have not much evidence of oil changes in the service booklet, so I suppose the care hasn't been paid enough to the car. ,until now.,yours truly!.Oh the joys of motoring...cheers.The rest of the car is ok.,as Vauxhall's are.So anyone else had these problems with their Zafira, Would be interested. to know.Thanks in advance Mr.K.Gilbey

Hi there,everyone, need Vauxhall brains for this next question, Timing chain on Zafira Diesel. What's the life expected onthis component?? Been given that ,the garage has found piece of plastic, which they say might have come off the chain??.while fitting my turbo.. Apparently its a big job,/other end of the engine, numerous parts to remove to get to the chain. So my delima, is a 112,000,timechain in need of replacing/or can we run the car.,without worrying about it??.I'm now getting a bit uncomfortable with different stories,so guys what's the crack..? Cheers

Thank you for this info.I think that along the thinking,transfer to a 2015,ZAFIRA TOURER 1.6, 110.229 miles.to date,would I order to change time chain on the car/ milege/age??..would be the way to go... Comments please

Try again What's the verdict on the Vauxhall Combo diesels

Try to spraying wd40 around the cap,might just unlock the catch,/ or try double locking with all doors shut.,then give a sharp tap on cover,,I have the same problem with my Zafira

Strange,that I have had that kind of" noise in my Zafira, a mechanic told me it's the front suspension struts ,that aren't seated?.But like you stated ,the weather was quite damp that night,!.

Is it in your service booklet,infotainment Manual? Ask / give registration number/ vehicle, hope that helps ( I've yet to connect Bluetooth!! Or telephone 08457565565
