  1. hi everyone, this last sunday's meet was at the binton social club, midway between alcester and stratford on avon. it was very well attended, being a monthly event it's very popular. the weather was good so quite a variety of vehicles were in attendance, from a bubble car to a corvette!! my own favourite of the day was a beautiful 1950 mg y type almond green with almond interior, so stylish. best regards keith
  2. hi everybody, what a lovely day at the steam rally. loads to see, mostly steam driven, organs, fairground rides, traction engines, static engines and of course a very large selection of historic vehicles. there was a vehicle there for every taste including a scammel scareb, fully restored to railway livery. my own personel favorite was a selection of 1930's austins, westminsters and yorks, simply stunning.
  3. hi everybody, today, sunday, the meeting was the wings and wheels at bidford on avon glider club. a very flat acreage stretching into the distance. it was blustery, not raining, but very chilly in that wind. a lot of cars turned up and among them three yes three vauxhalls, so good to see. when you go to these meetings there are many interesring and beautiful marques to admire and that is what i like about them. what is the likelyhood of the dx alongside that 220, marvellous!! best regards keith
  4. hi everybody, this sundays meeting was a local club the stratford and henly in arden meet. the rain was attrocious, really hammering down which really put the moccas on everything. mind you, i never used the wipers before, not sure if they worked but they were really good. being driven off the camshaft the faster i went the faster the wipers went, unlike the early ford vacuum set up!! also it was a real good test for the roof and not a drop leaked in but the misting up was a problem solved by having the quarter lights open, remember them!!!
  5. hi everyboby, and a very nice show it was to, with many sublime vehicles there, something for everyone. car of the show was that little austin chummy van, well deserved. i don't really know how you can choose one over the other as my favourite car there was an austin 16. truly truly spectacular alround. but of course it's down to the individual. it was very iffy in the weather department with rain in the air making us put the roofs up but it never came to much. suprise, suprise there was another vauxhall there, a cresta in really good nick, would like to see more vauxhalls!! next meeting is a local one at claverdon, second sunday in the month, i'll be there. best regards keith
  6. hi everybody, an absolute fabulous assortment of cars, something for most people, but the lack of vauxhall cars is a bit dissapointing. only two others there. the old and the new, couldn't tell you what the white one is, some rocket ship by the look of it. best regards keith
  7. hi everyone, very good, marvelous assembly of classic cars at the midland bus museum, 120 plus vehicles for the coffee and chrome meet. the dx drew good attention and the classic car weekly was there photographing it and wanting to know everything about it. looking forward to the next meet, bank holiday monday, chaddesley corbet village, 250 cars expected. getting used to the various foibles of the car now, steering wonder, double declutching, and i did a hand signal today!!!!!! best regards keith
  8. hi everybody, local monthly meet at stoke pound, not so very much there but very nice all the same. any guesses on the vehicle i'm parked next to. caused quite an interest. best regards keith
  9. a very nice day out at the severn valley railway event. the car was amongst other marques and had great attention. i intend to do as many local classic car meets as i can, they are very interesting to me. best regards keith
  10. hi everyone, thankyou for letting me join the club. my vehicle, which i recently bought is 1936 dx light 16 tickford. it really is the tops and i can't wait to put it about. some pictures for you. best regards keith
