Hi Everyone, Just after some advice on my Insignia Grand Sport 1.6 Diesel, I keep getting the Engine code P0401 EGR Flow Insufficient - I do a lot of motorway miles and tried everything from driving in high revs to spraying egr cleaner as advised by the tin. If I clear the code it won't come back on for a while and then it will. Only thing I haven't tried is removing the EGR Valve and pipes giving it a good scrub, would this work or am I wasting my time and its goosed, needing replacing. Thanks in advance for advice.

Morning lads and lasses. I bought my Astra twintop 1.9cdti nearly two years ago, I had problems with smoke and power so had the dpf welded up and remapped. Smoke persisted so garage told me I needed a new injector which cost an arm and a leg. Three new injectors later and still the same. I've cleaned my egr valve and my boost sensor yesterday guess what... still smokes terrible and no power below 2000rpm. No engine management light is showing either. If anybody could help I'd really appreciate it. Boyzy -
Hello, I have had problems with the EGR valve, PO400 code diagnosed, by RAC. My car is a 2001 Astra Estate 1.400 16v LS. Can I use a blanking plate on this model? Would it cause any problems? Any help would be much appreciated. Gee.
