AndyR Posted July 1, 2018 Posted July 1, 2018 Can anyone please explain where the throttle cable is on my astra g. I was going to see if it needed adjusting as it seems a little light, and fluctuates when rolling along at about 50 mph. But i cant seem to find any sort of cable that would resemble a throttle cable. Is it electronic?? Please can anyone shed some light on this. Andy. Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 It probably is electronic....easiest way to determine is to look under the accelerator pedal and if you see a sensor with wires under the pedal then it is electronic and no cable to the engine. Quote
AndyR Posted July 5, 2018 Author Posted July 5, 2018 Brilliant thanks, i will be looking tomorrow after the school run. Also whilst i'm online, I was changing a wheel on the rear right hand side. When i put the new wheel on and turned it to line up the holes,I noticed that the centre hub was turning but the drum wasn't, but the holes were moving behind the drum. Is this normal?? Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 yes, that is fine and it locates when the wheel bolts are inserted and tightened. Usually, there is some screw or locating device to aid the refitting of the wheel but if it is missing it is not really a safety issue, just inconvenient Quote
AndyR Posted July 15, 2018 Author Posted July 15, 2018 That's a relief. I had a feeling that it was going to be a serious problem to fix. I did notice that the screw that holds the drum on was missing. might see about putting one in. And the throttle is electronic. Had a look above the pedal and saw that there was a big black box with loads of wires coming out. Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 great (and cheap) results all round then Quote
