siggyv6cdti Posted August 30, 2019 Posted August 30, 2019 My question is what do i need for the f23 gearbox conversion from the mk4 z20let? Also does anyone know which actual m33 box from the 1.7 cdti also fits in the ler please? Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 Only thing I can think of is matching clutch driven plate to the input shaft splines to suit the new gearbox. Quote
siggyv6cdti Posted September 27, 2019 Author Posted September 27, 2019 Yeah man! Well ive got z20let f23 box, flywheel, driveshafts, cables and shifter and a brand new luk z20let clutch ready to go in soon as i can get ramp time at my mates yard Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Straight forward enough job if you have a ramp to work on then.....good luck with it. Would be good to see a report on how to do it if you get a chance Quote

Vauxhall Owners Club Posted October 4, 2019 Posted October 4, 2019 Thanks.....would be interesting to view the procedure Quote
siggyv6cdti Posted October 16, 2019 Author Posted October 16, 2019 Well the gsi turbo 5speed is now fitted..cant drive it yet as typically i was given wrong info on a vauxhall forum and what i could and couldnt use.. Atm im a driveshaft short and rear box mount and bracket God my car was stubborn!! Spent all day Saturday taking it apart because literally nothi g came undone amd had to heat near every bolt.. Taking the box off and fittimg the new clutch a d flywheel and then refitting the new box was the only part of the job that went textbook style :s It better work cos its not comimg apart again in my ownership haha Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Rather you than me....sounds like a right struggle Quote
siggyv6cdti Posted October 18, 2019 Author Posted October 18, 2019 If id been given the right info om the conversion and the right mount and bracket for thebox it would have gone better.. Ended up damaging a cv joint as i was gettin stressed.. Just waitin onthe drive shaft now and it will be dine in an hour. Clutch is bled just need oil in the box Quote
siggyv6cdti Posted October 27, 2019 Author Posted October 27, 2019 Hopefully this car will be back on the road tomorrow, just waiting on a new downpipe to cat clamp.. Got vibration goin on to so that needs investigating once i can drive it Quote
