When I start my car after having run it a warning lamp appears. If I switch the engine off and restart it disappears. At my service in June I advised the dealer and they checked and advised no fault found. It is still happening. Any suggestions or has anyone experienced similar thanks. My car is a Combo Life Petrol. I have attached an image of the light. It’s the one above the parking brake light.

Thanks

Hi there, and welcome .

I have been looking through google to try to find out about your warning light. What i have found is that it is something to do with a sensor that keeps check on the distance between you and the vehicle in front.

Have you got forward facing parking sensors on your combo? Might be worth seeing if they are damaged in any way.

Hope this helps, and keep us all posted on the outcome.

Well firstly it is amber which is a warning lamp but low priority, if it were red I would be concerned.

It looks like a traction control light which should disappear as you drive away and it can get the correct readings from the sensors.

Right you are. My vauxhall is a bit old for that technology.  I was looking on a vauxhall website on Google. Thought it might have been helpful.

Thanks for the reply. It does seem that the light is related to the collision detection system. Problem  is that it only comes on now and then. I will speak to my local dealer again.
