AshleyM Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 (edited) Hi all, I had a new exhaust gas temperature sensor fitted on my insignia 2ltr cdti 2014, on the 23rd June 2022, as I'd previously broken down due to this sensor , so I've had a new one fitted, I broke down again with the same problem on Friday, managed to walk to a garage who came and recovered it for me , told me the sensor was loose and had black soot around it , ive taken it back to the original garage today, what should I be expecting, has he actually replaced it in the first place ? What do I look for , being a woman ive no clue & don't want to be palmed off, is there any other reason this would happen to a new sensor? Cheers Edited July 18, 2022 by AshleyM Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 I would say that the fault shouldn't have recurred unless the part is faulty (as it may actually be the case). If the part is faulty then the garage should replace it under warranty (part supplier will pay for the replacement part and labour time) Let us know how you get on with it all Quote
