Chrome strip removal

Hi does anyone know how to remove the chrome pieces from the light clusters? I'm changing the strip to black and need to do them too? Also any ideas how to strip the badge as I can't really sand that, I'm spraying it all to match my car paint

You could try fishing line behind the trims and this cuts through the adhesive tape and if you hit a resistance then this is probably a retaining clip/pin
