Water Pooling On Boot Trim

During heavy rain, I find that water pools up in the area between the boot seal and boot lock on the plastic trim. Has anyone else noticed this happening to their car and if so does anyone have a solution? thank you.

New to this forum.

Just wondering if you resolved the problem. 

My 2013 insignia Saloon starred doing the same thing pooling water on the trim near the l boot lock.

I've replaced the boot seal.

Didn't work.
