Rob Smith 775 Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 Hi, I have a 2010 CDTI Insignia with the dreaded low oil pressure fault, I’ve replaced oil, filter and pressure sensor but as I’m sure you’re all aware this hasn’t cured it ( worth a try though!) I’m now at the stage of going inside to replace the oil pump seal. While I’m in there I’m contemplating replacing the big end shells at the same time as it’s done 160k now, can this be done easily with the crank still in? Are all standard shells the same size and do I need new Conrod bolts or reuse the originals? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted December 31, 2022 Posted December 31, 2022 It should be possible to slide out the old big end bearings and fit new ones and would probably replace the bolts if possible and not too expensive Quote
