Hello - Just over two years ago I replaced all my suspension coils with Monroe branded ones and last weekend one of the front pair broke again.  I don't do a lot of miles some I'm disappointed that I'm looking at repeating this job so soon - and that the warranty expired two months ago.  Does anyone have a recommended alternative or was I unlucky? KYB look to be a similar price with good reputation.

I'm wondering if I should do the shocks and top mounts at the same time to rule out any issues with anything else shortening their life (though hadn't noticed any problems with the quality of the ride). Could anyoe share some wisdom ahead of my getting those coil compressors out again?

Also - the Haynes manual says to always replace the pair of M12 bolts on the shock/ knuckle joint. Is that 'definitely always' or an advisory? (I didn't last time 🙂)
