electric problem

Hi, I have a 2005 vecter c 1.9 estate with the engine running upon switching the wipers on the engine stops and will only start with the wipers off. any thoughts on this and as to the cure.

Oh crikey that sounds like a strange issue you have there.
If it was a dead short to earth for the power to the wipers I think it would have blown a fuse rather than switch the engine off

Not sure on this one, I wonder if anyone else has had this issue
