Insignia 2012 Hatchback Boot Noise Won't Open

Hi

When trying to open the boot on my Insignia I just get a whirring noise when pressing the boot release button.

I've replaced the boot release button but the noise persists. 

I'm relying on crawling through the boot

Sounds like the linkage has dropped off the actuator

If you can release the trim on the inside of the boot lid area and see if the linkage can be reattached if this is the case
