Tait1983 Posted October 3, 2023 Posted October 3, 2023 There are multiple warning light coming on the dash, all tyre pressures low, abs and traction control warning lights and a message stating clutch overheating, reduce clutch usage. The car is running perfectly fine, just been through its first MOT, and had a health check from Evan Halshaw. It's a 70 plate and has covered only 13k miles roughly. The lights go off after leaving the car sitting for a day or so, but I cannot understand what's causing this as the car hasn't covered many miles either, so would be surprised if the clutch is the issue. Does anyone have any idea what might cause this, or have experienced it themselves? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, John Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted October 6, 2023 Posted October 6, 2023 I would start by having the battery checked and replaced if necessary A lot of the faults you mentioned can be down to a depleted battery (even if it is not that old) as they sulphate if not used for some time. You could also use a battery conditioner to keep the battery in good order when its not being used for a period of time Quote
Hayspanjo Posted May 16, 2024 Posted May 16, 2024 I have exactly the same problem. abs, hill start, tyre pressure etc all warning lights and disabled and now a clutch release message. Did you manage to resolve the problem? Quote
srowley Posted June 10, 2024 Posted June 10, 2024 Did you manage to get sorted? We also have the same problem. Quote
Leapy Posted June 27, 2024 Posted June 27, 2024 We also have the same problem which started Tuesday this week when it was very hot. Strangely, we had the exact same thing happen last year on pretty much the same date (!) and also a very hot day. Last year we immediately booked it in at the local dealership but the warning lights all went out before the appointment came around and it was fine for 12 months. Hoping the same happens this time, but find it very odd. Quote
Glen Roy Posted June 30, 2024 Posted June 30, 2024 got the exact same fault on my crossland (October 20 - 70 plate) keeps recurring, then clears for a while. Anyone find the solution? Leapy Posted July 20, 2024 Posted July 20, 2024 Just had the car into the local garage. They found a faulty ABS sensor which had triggered all the other warning lights. It's sorted now Quote
shauney Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 I have recently had 4 warning including tyre pressure on my X on a 70 plate for about 4 days.I thought it could be the heat because I park outside. Then it cleared.Went to have a tyre replaced and they found a big nail right on the edge of perfectly good rear tyre.Could that have triggered the sensors.Who knows but I hope it helps. Telboy Posted September 18, 2024 Posted September 18, 2024 Has anyone managed to find a fix for this? When warning lights came on we took it to a garage, however on way there lights went off, mechanic plugged in fault finder, no faults showed up either present or previous. Unfortunately lights have came back on again. Release clutch, hill start assist fault, tyre pressure not monitored, abs fault amongst others Quote
Wiggsy Posted October 26, 2024 Posted October 26, 2024 Ive got the same problem too, lots of different fault messages. Took it into garage Tuesday, no fault found, drove the car Friday same happened again, with an added message about the clutch overheating and the fan running. They have.now said it maybe something to do with a wheel sensor, a part is now on order. Not holding my breath! Quote
Stevie39393 Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 Hi, I have the exact same problem, mechanic change the sensor on the rear wheel where a fault was showing, messages still come up. It definitely seems worse first thing in the morning. Quote
Stevie39393 Posted December 16, 2024 Posted December 16, 2024 Update… Mechanic has tried changing abs sensors and bearings, loads of different parts.. The problem has still not been sorted. Anyone got a solution for this??? Thanks in advance. Quote
Frank McHutchison Posted December 30, 2024 Posted December 30, 2024 What is Vauxhall doing about this problem.i have had my car in on April 2024 paid £300 to get fixed and it has happened again. Is there going to be a Vauxhall recall I wonder. Quote
Cymru-cat Posted January 2 Posted January 2 I have a Crossland X. In July 2024, just 2 months outside the warranty the dash board lit up like a Christmas tree and there was a whirring sound in engine like it was trying to cool something down, akin to an airplane engine. Took back to the dealer and was told after only 32,000 miles I required a brand new ECU! At enormous expense I fixed this. We are talking £2K . 6 months on same issue again. Exact same lights and whirring. Only now I'm told ABS sensor needs replacing! No explanation for whirring sound and why every light is on and message about releasing clutch. hey another £300 to fix sensor! Who knows what else is wrong to make the whirring noise. Overheating clutch??? Answers on a post card please. Can it be overheating when you start the vehicle!!? My advice to anyone reading this is DO NOT buy a Crossland X as you will live to severely regret that decision! MY FIRST AND LAST VAUXHALL full stop. Quote

Is there going to be a Vauxhall recall I wonder. Got the problem fixed again. It was a faulty ABS sensor. Garage says the sensors are in the wrong place as they pick up every but if dirt and dust and this is what causes all the other warning lights to come on. Why all the warning lights come on is a manufacturing problem that `Vauxhall needs to correct. Bang goes hundreds of pounds out of my bank account to rectify this problem. Quote
Stevie39393 Posted January 9 Posted January 9 Grandland X I have now had the ABS sensors changed and also the bearings and I am still getting this problem, I don’t know where to go next with this? Would a change of battery as suggested before help? Every warning light now comes up every time I start the car, at first it was now and again, but it’s all the time now. Quote
Mark77 Posted January 25 Posted January 25 (edited) Have the same problem with my 2019 Grandland x 1.5 d Blue took to the garage yesterday and they could not find the fault? Works great until you accelerate over 40 mph then all the lights mentioned come on, turn car on and off all go apart from engine management light. That goes also after being left for short time off or reset with scan tool. When checking with OBD2 scan tool showing no speed sensor/ABS faults. Could this be a software glitch on Vauxhall part ? But it’s making my car undeliverable. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Update- Fault code cleared with scan tool is P0087-77 Fuel rail low pressure. Garage changed fuel filter and looked like this, photo attached. Fuel filter didn’t fix problem. b6916dda-cb58-430a-aafa-7401a0f180dc.mp4 Edited January 25 by Mark77 Quote

Hi, anyone any further forward with this? 4 months on and the problem is still not solved. Basically everytime I turn the car on, I get all these warning lights, whereas before it was sporadic. Quote
emmagall10 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Has anyone found a permanent solution to this problem. My mechanic can’t find anything wrong at all and all these warning lights are still coming on. Quote
Mark77 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 It’s like when a random fault comes up it triggers all the lights to come on, my cooling fan also turns on very fast when the lights are showing, turn car on and off all go apart from EM lights, I clear the faults or wait over night, all is then ok until I accelerate or overtake then back on again . Mine points to a low fuel pressure fault but my mechanic is yet to find anything at fault using his scan tools etc time will tell I guess. Quote
whitstabledave Posted February 11 Posted February 11 Well we've been having this set of beeps and lights for the last four months. Over the weekend, feeling bored, I tried another non-Vauxhall garage. He took one look and said" get it all the time, Opels, Vauxhalls both and I don't know a true solution, I'm told Brake sensors but don't waste your money because it doesn't always cure it". He's a 60 year old "old boy". I queried how often honestly and he says a new person every fortnight. Does ANYONE know the solution? Quote
Stevie39393 Posted Tuesday at 10:42 AM Posted Tuesday at 10:42 AM Hi. Yeah I have had this for 6 months now, tried changing abs sensors, wheel bearings, nothing has worked. Really frustrating now. Quote
whitstabledave Posted Tuesday at 11:57 AM Posted Tuesday at 11:57 AM HI all, We've had this for months, same sequence of errors and beeps. Someone (on here) recommended battery change as a possibility. We asked the bloke at Whitstable Halfords to check it for us. He used some gadget called a GS-Yuasa, set the stated amps of the resident battery (720mh) and asked it for the batteries condition....6%. Paid the (could not believe it) price of over £200 for NEW 800mh battery (fitted) and wayhay!! no beeps, no lights, no earache from certain others that use the car! Basically, it worked for us. Good luck. Quote
