Steve gill Posted October 26, 2023 Posted October 26, 2023 Hi ,I have a 1.9 TD Vectra, ex ministry of defence car, I have tried to register it with DVLA on the paperwork given from the forces but DVLA say that it wants other confirmation of build date other than the forces papers , is there anyone in the club who can give verification based on the forces letter and vin number that I have, thanks, Steve. Vauxhall Owners Club Posted October 30, 2023 Posted October 30, 2023 Local dealership may be able to assist you with the age verification as it should translate from the VIN number build date (depending if it has come from abroad as they sometimes do with the forces) Quote
Steve gill Posted October 31, 2023 Author Posted October 31, 2023 Hi thanks for the reply ,not sure if the new owners of vauxhall (PSA) group will cater for the older cars ,I shall ask, DVLA said that confirmation from the owners club would suffice as evidence acceptable ,so I'm assuming the club is not able to do this ? Vauxhall Owners Club Posted October 31, 2023 Posted October 31, 2023 Unfortunately, we do not hold any official records in our database so you would have either have to contact the military or your local Vauxhall dealership Here is a list of official clubs that the DVLA recognises to date vehicles, for your reference https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/1164879/v765-1-list-of-vehicle-owners-clubs-pdf.pdf Quote
