Mellie1968 Posted January 18 Posted January 18 Hi, I have a 2017 Astra K with the infotainment system, My mic doesn't work for hands free and good old Google says if you remove the fuse it resets it all, factory reset didn't fix it. I'm wondering if I do that, will I need a code for it to work again? Does it even have a code? Thanks, just want to male sure it's not the actual mic as not got a clue where to find that. Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted January 19 Posted January 19 Probably best to look through any vehicle documentation to see if there is any mention of a code. Although a lot of systems don't have them now as the audio is coded through the CanBus network so it will only work on that particular car unlike the old days of stealing one and fitting into another car with or without a code. Kalyan Posted August 25 Posted August 25 I have the same issue and I would like to hear on how you fixed it. I bought 2017 astra K recently and I have checked with both iOS and Android devices and it didn't work in neither of the devices. Quote
Kalyan Posted August 27 Posted August 27 (edited) I tried to disconnect the battery terminals and reconnected it back and still the same issue. @Mellie1968 Did you manage to fix it? Edited August 27 by Kalyan Quote
Mellie1968 Posted August 27 Author Posted August 27 Hi, It turned out the microphone was missing, I got a new one from the scrapyard and all was well. It hadn't worked since I got the car so it was obviously taken out for another car. Quote
Kalyan Posted August 28 Posted August 28 @Mellie1968 Yesterday I opened the courtesy light unit to my surprise it's missing in my astra K as well. I have bought one from ebay and hoping to get in next couple of days. Thanks for replying @Mellie1968 Quote
