Just wondering if the following description of a part might ring a bell.

Back in 1963 a young girl was abducted in a car that was described either as Ford Prefect, a Hillman and a Vauxhall.

The car was supposedly buried In a trench in a rural road construction trench, rural folks tended to get rid of old large objects, yes including cars , farm equipment etc , in these trenches as they would be buried when they were done with the trenches.

The family has a dig done around where they thought the trench might've been and found a few rivet like pieces, they were mushroomed shaped about 2 or 3 inches high and had WCE stamped on the top and a cross weave pattern on the bottom. It appears that they are brass.

I have pictures of them but don't know how to attach here , so I'm hoping what I've described might click on someone's head.

Thank you

Gord
