JohnKim Posted July 29 Posted July 29 Just joined the group - Thank you. We replaced our 18 reg Crossland in March with a new 24 reg. We think we have been sold a car with a known defect. When we were picking up the car at the dealers the alarm went off and the salesman said "oh I know what that is" and went to the car and appeared to cancel the alarm and then opened and shut the boot lid. We took the car and went to Whitby but the alarm went off a few times and we decided to return home early to visit the dealer. On this occasion a mechanic checked two points on the boot that seemed to adjust the boot lid and he said it was level. However, the alarm continued to go off at times so we again contacted the dealer who booked the car in for attention but in a month's time. On this occasion they said they had found a faulty contact on one of the doors. This did not solve the issue and when contacted on 17 July 2024 they gave an appointment towards the end of August 2024. Getting fed up with this we contacted the dealer by email setting out a complaint but to date no reply has been received, or from a letter sent to Vauxhall Customer Care on 23 July 2024. Look forward to receiving any advice on both the fault and the how it's been dealt with by the dealer and how to proceed. Very sad all this as we never had a bit of trouble with the 18 reg model. Thanks John Quote
