Hi, I have a 2019 1.4 petrol corsa. My clutch pedal is not returning to its rest state. It stops short and makes changing gear difficult. I can "flip it" back up with my foot but after 3 or 4 depressions its back to "flipping it up. not an ideal situation. I can see no reason for this and the fluid level is ok.

I could fit a return spring, but why is it not returning to its rest position

What was the problem in the end?

HI,

I never found the root problem but from what i leaent it seems likely that is was the design of the clutch pedal and spring. Short of dismantling the pedal assembly i opted to replace the spring. As there were several you tube videos on how to do this it seemed to be the best option and ive had no problems since.
