Hi, we’re currently in the process of the dreaded wet belt problem. Vauxhall are basically wiping their hands of us saying that yes this problem is covered under an extended warranty however because we have had our services elsewhere and not with an actual Vauxhall dealership that we need to produce itemised lists of what have been used in the services over the years. Luckily we know the garages and the owners that we’ve had the services done and they have said they have used the correct oil but the ‘requirements’ have changed through the years. Basically making it near on impossible and to catch you out at the easiest point to say we are not covered. Not once have I ever been told when buying a vehicle that if you don’t service with them than your not entitled to extended warranties with an issue. We have had services like you are supposed to, paid our money at approved garages it’s an utter joke! We’re going to have to pay for the wet belt to be replaced but are going to fight Vauxhall every way!! This is a problem that should have been recalled by Vauxhall, what a joke. Any advice is welcome and any success stories getting anything back from Vauxhall? Many thanks
