Sibubs Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 I have just bought an Opel Ascona (Vauxhall Cavalier) convertible. It was first registered in Germany in May 1985, but looking at the Vin, the date letter is E, which I'm pretty sure means it was manufactured in 1984, with all the lovely exempt bonuses that brings. Is that correct? If so, how would you advise I proceed with the DVLA? Can anyone at the club give me a confirmation letter? Thanks! Quote
Vauxhall Owners Club Posted January 2 Posted January 2 There is plenty of information on the DVLA website to advise on the way forward with registering a foreign vehicle. Original documentation should prove year of manufacture. MOT test and any revisions to the lighting system beam direction and colour of bulbs, etc then its good to re-register in the UK Quote
