Hi,

have had a battery drain on a Meriva that I’m looking at for a friend.battery drains down within a few days and fails to start.has had a new battery within the last month.did a parasitic drain test and it’s showing it’s the interior fan circuit that is causing it(0.87 amps drain).have taken the fuse out for the minute just to see if the battery holds up.any ideas what could be causing it to drain?

cheers

chris

I would see what difference the fuse removal makes and if it doesn't drain over a couple of days then you have isolated the source. Check all of the wiring in the heater fan circuit to see if damaged.
Remove the fan motor to test it and see if there is any issues there with high resistance and replace if necessary to assess if this has resolved the issue.
