Hi All,

Just bought a Vauxhall Zafira 1.6 Club and I have been advised to have the timing belt checked/replaced as we are a little unsure as to not whether this has been done or not. The car is a 53 Plate and has done about 68K.

Having a browse on the internet some people have said it is worthwhile just replacing it rather than having it checked as it can be quite time consuming, is this correct?

does anyone know how much it might cost to have it checked/replaced? (It hasn't broken, and to my knowledge the car is running fine!).

Thanks in advance!

Changing the belt on 1.6 zafira is not a big job, the time alloud is 1.3 hours, it is advisable to have a kit fitted that includes guides and tensioner, vauxhall recomend replace at 40,000 mile.
